Why Refrigeration is Required

Regular probiotics not produced with special technology to be stable die off rapidly at room temperature. At 70deg F, the loss is at least 10-15% per month. At over 80deg F, loss is more rapid. Non-refrigeration for as much as a week will not produce significant loss of the 12 billion organisms per gram that Jarro-Dophilus contains at time of manufacture, but the product should be kept refrigerated.
